Mr O’Flaherty was initially given a €1,500 fine and four-year driving ban but a Court of Appeal ruling earlier this week imposed a 16-month sentence which was suspended in full if he is of good behaviour for two years.
Mrs Dutil-Wall, 37, who’s husband Vincent suffered a traumatic brain injury in the collision, said she feels the suspended sentence doesn’t act as a deterrent and said he deserved some jail time.
The devastated mum told the Irish Sun: “It’s really a sense of disappointment I guess.
“We’re nearing on four years from the crash, so Estlin was just about to be four-years-old when she died.
