Sun Devil WBB Travels to Los Angeles for contests at No. 5 UCLA, USC

For the first time in more than a month, the Sun Devil women s basketball team will be going on the road when it travels to Los Angeles this weekend for games at No. 5 UCLA (Friday at 6 p.m. PST/7 p.m. MST) and at USC (Sunday at 1 p.m. PST/2 p.m. MST).

Friday s game can be seen on Pac-12 Network/Arizona/Los Angeles (Brian Webber/Monique Billings). It can also be heard on KDUS 1060 AM. Coverage will start at 6:30 p.m. MST. Veteran broadcaster and the state of Arizona s 2010 & 2019 Broadcaster of the Year Jeff Munn is in his 17th season as the voice of ASU women s basketball. New study to examine the role of extended family caregivers of people with dementia
Karen Roberto and Tina Savla, both core faculty members of Virginia Tech s Center for Gerontology, are leading a five-year, $2.14 million study that will examine the role of extended family caregivers and their service use, needs, and challenges.
The National Institute on Aging part of the National Institutes of Health awarded the grant.
While most of the caregiving literature to date has focused on close kin, such as adult children and spouses, this new study will turn the spotlight on other family caregivers, such as grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, and step-kin. ....

Late Rally Falls Short As Buffs Fall To Washington State

BOULDER - A late rally wasn t enough for the Colorado Buffaloes women s basketball team, which fell to Washington State, 76-63, here Sunday at the CU Events Center.
After falling behind by 17 early in the fourth quarter, Colorado would get as close as seven points with under a minute left but could get no closer as Cougar sisters Charlotte and Krystal Leger-Walker combined for 41 points to help Washington State improve to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the Pac-12. Colorado falls to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the Pac-12 standings.
Jaylyn Sherrod led the way for Colorado with 17 points, Mya Hollingshed added 15 points and six rebounds, and Frida Formann added 14 points for the Buffs. Aubrey Knight hit double-figures with 10 rebounds to go with five points. ....
