FORMER Red Wiggle Murray Cook is well and truly on the mend more than one month after he underwent open heart surgery.
The 60-year-old musician will return to the stage with his band The Soul Movers in Marrickville this Saturday for the first time since having a procedure to replace a faulty aortic valve.
I m really looking forward to it, it s a little bit daunting but I m thrilled to get on stage and see the crowd, he said.

The Wiggles' Murray Cook back home and feeling 'so much better' after undergoing open-heart surgery

I was in hospital for a couple of weeks but I m going really well now. With open heart surgery it s a slow recovery process but after a couple of months I should be pretty good.
I ll be back on stage next month and will probably take it easier than I have in the past.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Monday, Murray said: I m doing pretty well, I got out of hospital last Wednesday and it s just a slow recovery. I get tired very easily but I m doing all of the rehab like walking and other exercises so it s all coming along ....

Former Wiggle recovering after heart surgery

Former Red Wiggle Murray Cook recently underwent heart surgery to replace a faulty aortic valve.
The former children s entertainer was released from St Vincent s Hospital last week following a successful procedure earlier this month and is now recovering at home.
