Meadow Lake man charged with attempted murder, assault

A Meadow Lake man is now facing assault and attempted murder charges stemming from an incident earlier this week.
Jordan Andrew Scott Nelson is accused of being involved with a serious assault in the RM of Meadow Lake. The 74-year-old victim, police say, is known to Nelson.
The RCMP add the victim, whose name has not been released, remains in hospital, but they will not be providing an update on his condition from there.
Nelson has been charged with one count each of alleged attempted murder and aggravated assault with a weapon. ....

Charges Laid After Dangerous Person Alert

A dangerous person alert that was issued by Meadow Lake RCMP on Wednesday has resulted in charges against Jordan Andrew Scott Nelson of Meadow Lake.
In the alert, RCMP were looking for a man last known to be carrying a large axe or edged weapon travelling on grids roads north of Meadow Lake driving a four door brown car.
The 28 year old suspect was found and arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 100 block of Second Street East in Meadow Lake.
He was charged with one count of Attempted Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon. Jordan Nelson remains in custody and is back in court Friday (March 12). ....
