The King s Lynn Shakespeare Festival has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic but organisers plan to make a bigger return in 2022.
The King s Lynn Shakespeare Festival Theatre Company has expressed its sadness in postponing this year s event, which was due to take place in April at St George s Guildhall in King s Lynn.
Organisers said it is because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but have announced the festival will return next year in a larger format , which will take place over three days on April 22, 23 and 24.

The news that a Lakes GP surgery has been saved for another six months has been met with relief – but concerns remain over its long-term future. Morecambe Bay CCG announced the approval of a six-month interim or ‘caretaking’ contract for Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice with Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC), a Cumbria based social enterprise organisation who deliver a range of services to support patients, last week. The commissioning group has been on the lookout for a new provider since OneMedical Group gave its six months notice to end the contract, which will take effect at the end of next month.
We await the response from Government, which is expected in early March, before moving onto the business case phase.

The bulk of the bid is to cover projects in what has been designated as the Cultural Quarter of the town, totalling £14.7 million.
This would see upgrades to the Marina Theatre and demolition of the vacant Battery Green car park to build a new, vibrant building to support performing arts as well as commercial and leisure facilities, with the project costing a total of £35.8 million.
