The King s Lynn Shakespeare Festival Theatre Company has expressed its sadness in postponing this year s event, which was due to take place in April at St George s Guildhall in King s Lynn. Organisers said it is because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but have announced the festival will return next year in a larger format , which will take place over three days on April 22, 23 and 24. The news that a Lakes GP surgery has been saved for another six months has been met with relief – but concerns remain over its long-term future. Morecambe Bay CCG announced the approval of a six-month interim or ‘caretaking’ contract for Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice with Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC), a Cumbria based social enterprise organisation who deliver a range of services to support patients, last week. The commissioning group has been on the lookout for a new provider since OneMedical Group gave its six months notice to end the contract, which will take effect at the end of next month.
