DANBURY With COVID-19 rates declining, Danbury Hospital is allowing family members to visit their loved ones beginning Tuesday.
“We just can t wait to be more fully open for our patients and our families,” said Andrea Rynn, spokeswoman for Nuvance Health, the seven-hospital system that includes Danbury Hospital. “We recognize it’s been hard on them.” ....

Norwalk Hospital gets $2.7M in COVID-19 relief funding

NORWALK Norwalk Hospital recently received $2.7 million in COVID-19 relief funding from Gov. Ned Lamont’s office.
The funds will be administered once the hospital provides proof of financial expenses incurred from COVID-19 treatment and prevention, according to a statement from the governor’s office.
Last week, the governor’s office administered a total of $40 million to non-governmental, short-term general hospitals based on certian requirements of facilities treating COVID-19 patients, according to the statement. Of the $40 million distributed to 25 hospitals around the state, Norwalk Hospital received $2.7 million.
“This funding recognizes the frontline role Connecticut’s hospitals and their dedicated employees have played throughout this pandemic,” Lamont said. “Our hospitals have needed to adapt to new protocols and infection control measures, while also ceasing ele ....
