Landmark Properties Inc., a Georgia-based builder specializing in student housing, recently submitted preliminary planning documents to the city that indicate the company’s intent to transform the Millennium Harvest House Hotel at 1345 28th St. The hotel, which sits on nearly 16-acres a stone’s throw east of CU’s Folsom Field, was developed in 1959 with several additions and renovations in the years since. ....
Charles David Mahoney, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, peacefully at his home in Sterling, Kansas. He was born March 31, 1937, in Sterling Kansas to Logan and Josephine Mahoney. Chuck grew up in Sterling and graduated from Sterling High School in 1955 and attended Sterling College and Ft Hays State College. In 1958, he left Sterling and moved to Big Piney and went to work in the oilfield for Belco Petroleum (EOG) where he met Jo Ann Miller from Mountain View and in 1959, they married.
