63rd Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast May 15
The Kiwanis Club of Texarkana is hosting its 63rd Annual Pancake Day on Saturday, May 15th..
The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is going to be held at the Truman Arnold Center in Texarkana college. The Pancake Day will be from 7 AM to 2 PM and will include pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice, and milk. The cost is just $5 per person in advance and $7 at the door. All proceeds will help fund major projects of the Kiwanis Club of Texarkana.

Beloved husband and father, Leslie Milton Graham, 95, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., until the time of the services at the church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery with military honors provided by the Marshalltown Combined VFW and American Legion Honor Guard. Leslie was born in Rothsay, MN, July 9, 1925, The family moved to Burt, IA where Leslie grew up in a family of five brothers and four sisters along with his parents Jay and Clara Graham. The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is currently looking for a location to hold the event at this time. We will update this when we find out more. The Pancake Day will be from 8 AM to 10 AM and will include pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice, and milk. The cost is just $5 per person. All proceeds will help fund major projects of the Kiwanis Club of Texarkana.
Pancake Day events also include a 5K race for adults and a Kids-specific K for them to participate. The event will have these additional events, a bake sale, cake walk, raffle, pancake eating contest, and a Kids area. Visit Kiwanis Club Facebook page for more event information.
Sidney Kiwanis celebrates 100th anniversary

SIDNEY Founded on Nov. 17, 1920, the Sidney Kiwanis have been serving the local community for 100 years.
“We look forward to celebrating with a 100th anniversary banquet later this year if the pandemic allows,” said President Jim Cole.

2020 proved to be a challenging year as we had to cancel our Annual Pancake Day due to COVID. This is one of our three main fundraisers each year. Our sponsorship campaign was completed before covid started. The Annual Labor Day Chicken Bar-B-Que was extremely successful as we sold 2,000 dinners before 3 PM. Much thanks to the community for supporting this annual event.
