It is obvious to everyone by now that what Britain bequeathed to us in Nigeria is internal colonialism.
All we have passed through over 100 years of existence and 60 years of Independence is internal colonialism foisted on us by Great Britain for their selfish motive just as they ‘forcibly united Ireland, Scotland and Wales under the name of United Kingdom.
One fact should be critically examined when Lord Lugard united us. Between amalgamation and the construction of the North/South rail, which of the two happened first? My answer is the railway, which was for stealing our wealth. It was when the colonialists saw this rail crisis-crossing the big land mass that they came with the idea of amalgamation of 1914 for ease of administration and gave us the name, NIGER AREA to Nigeria. ....

Former Enugu North Senatorial Aspirant, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Chinedu P. Eya, has reported President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet threatening to shock Nigerians who are out to destroy his government to the President of the international Criminal Court, Judge Piotr Hofmański in Hague, Netherlands, the United States President, Joe Biden and the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

Nigeria Asked To Change Its Name To 'United Africans Republic' | Politics

The house of representatives committee on the review of the constitution has received a proposal to rename Nigeria to the “United Africans Republic (UAR)”.
The national assembly is currently in the process of altering the constitution and making amendments to it.
The proposal for the change of the country’s name was submitted to the committee by Adeleye Jokotoye, a tax consultant in Lagos state, on Wednesday.
In his submission seen by TheCable, Jokotoye said the name Nigeria was not coined by a citizen but given to the country by Flora Shaw, wife of Lord Lugard, a colonialist.
He argued that for the country to be united, its name needs to be changed, adding that it will foster peace among citizens. ....
