Two Pueblo residents died after being struck by an SUV on June 5 at the intersection of Northern and Orman Avenues.
Racheal Gallegos, 41, and Frank Chavez, 54, were riding motorcycles at approximately 4:30 p.m. that day, along with Chavez fiancée, Audrey Romero, and another individual, Derek Vigil. Chavez and Romero were on the same bike, just as Gallegos and Vigil were sharing another.
The four individuals were traveling east on West Northern Avenue, heading through the intersection of Orman Avenue. According to an arrest affidavit from the Pueblo Police Department, video obtained from a nearby 7-Eleven store showed how the events unfolded.

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) A one-week extension has been granted to file charges in the case of Alisha Herrera. The extension was granted to the Pueblo County District Attorney s Office to review the facts in order to potentially file more charges.
Herrera is accused of driving under the influence and hitting four people on motorcycles, killing two of them. KRDO obtained Herrera s arrest affidavit on Wednesday. According to the affidavit, Herrera had her one-year-old child in the car with her at the time of the crash.
Herrera is currently out on bond with her new court date set for June 16th at 10 a.m.
