The Parkview Church of God use to sit on the corner of 17th street in Tuscaloosa right across from the old Parkview Elementary School in a white building. I use to walk and drive by see that white building lit up. The Parkview Church of God was established in 1913. The church had to move more than ten years ago around the corner to the present location to make way for new student housing. The church pastor Anderson Walker led the congregation through this transition and now leads a thriving congregation on the south side of Tuscaloosa. ....

Every name was drawn for the ladies’ secret sister ministry. There were 14 in total. What fun the ladies are having secretly trying to place a gift, praying and encouraging.
Good Friday, people from many communities and towns started at Meota and travelled to Vawn Edam, Mervin, Turtleford, Thunderchild First Nations, Spruce Lake and on to St. Walburg. There was even a police escort in St. Walburg and some travelled the entire route. The purpose was to commemorate Good Friday, remembering the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, providing us eternal life in Heaven.
On Palm Sunday, at the close of our crucifixion message, Pastor Walker asked who would be willing to make a fresh commitment to Christ, considering the great sacrifice that our Lord made. Pastor Walker drove the first nail in the cross, stood silently and soon 26 people, many with tears streaming down their faces, made their way forward and hammered a nail in the cross. These ....

December 2020 marks the release of Pastor Arne Walker s third book (former pastor at Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake). The title for this book is Spirit Promptings.
A highlight of this book is photography by nationally famous nature photographer Ken Jenkins of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Ken shares several pictorial essays as well.

Spirit Promptings gets its title because each Public Pulpit (published in The Mountain Press) grows out of his prayer walk. He never sat down and pondered something to write. The book includes over 150 titles. ....
