ROYAL Mail customers in parts of Oxfordshire have been experiencing delays for a number of months.
MP for Wantage David Johnston raised the problem in Parliament on Thursday last week after continuous complains from his constituents.
People in the town and the surrounding areas have faced lengthy delays during the pandemic, with some residents abandoned without post for weeks.
In a speech in Parliament, the Conservative MP said: Our postmen and women work hard but something is wrong in how the service is operating – not least it seems that parcels are prioritised over letters and cards. ....

CONSERVATIVE MPs in the county have overwhelmingly backed the Government s so called anti-protest Bill, voting in favour of the new legislation.
Environment and social justice groups like Extinction Rebellion and Black Lives Matter argue that the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is an attack on democracy’, giving officers powers to impose noise limits, start and finish times on gatherings.
The Bill passed its second reading in the House of Commons on Tuesday evening by 359 votes to 263.

THUMBS UP for pupil’s festive card to Prime Minister
PRIME Minister Boris Johnson has given the thumbs up to this Christmas card made by a talented Oxfordshire schoolgirl.
Conservative MP for Wantage David Johnston hand-delivered the painted card made by Grove CofE Primary School pupil Olivia Rance.
The nine-year-old girl was one of many children in the Wantage area who submitted designs to the MP s competition, which he announced in October.
It was open to all primary school children in Mr Johnston s constituency and the winner got to see their card in the hands of the PM.
In a touching post on Faceboon the MP praised winners and runners-up for their efforts: Congratulations to them all! ....

MORE households in parts of Oxfordshire hit out at Royal Mail after they were abandoned without post for weeks in the run up to Christmas.
People in Wantage and the surrounding area accused the local Royal Mail depot for a ‘postal backlog’, however, the service argued that no delays have been reported in the depot.
Last month the Oxford Mail reported of postal problems in Didcot and Wallingford, which began in the beginning of November. ....
