Passengers injured in the trolley wreck on Saturday in St. Augustine have been released from hospitals and are doing fine, St. Augustine Police Department spokesman Officer Dee Brown said Monday.
The wreck happened as a trolley from Old Town Trolley Tours was heading north on Charlotte Street and attempted to take a left on St. Francis Street, according to Brown. It s just a sharp turn on the corner, and the last trolley car overturned, Brown said.
By the time police arrived at the scene, people had already pushed the trolley car upright again, he said.
The wreck happened after 11 a.m.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The driver of a trolley that overturned in St. Augustine and injured 12 people Saturday has been cited for reckless driving, the St. Augustine Police Department said Tuesday.
At least one person was flown to Orange Park Medical Center after the crash on St. Francis Street.
No other details about the charges were immediately available. A police spokesman said the crash investigation is ongoing and a full report should be out by the end of the week.
