CAMPBELL Curlie M. Fleeton, 68, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Ohio Living Park Vista of Youngstown. Curlie was born May 2, 1952, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Felix and Bessie Oree Mitchell. Raised in Youngstown, Curlie was a 1970 graduate of East High School. In 1972, she began her career with the Youngstown Board of Education as an executive administrative assistant, where she worked for many years. Determined to pursue her lifelong goal of receiving her college degree, Curlie enrolled at Eastern Gateway Community College and then attended Youngstown State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in business in 2020. A woman of faith, Curlie was a member of Oak Baptist Church in Youngstown, where she sang in its choir, served as secretary, was a member of the Usher Board, and was involved with its Outreach Ministry. She most recently was attending Gospel Temple Baptist Church in Campbell. In her free time, she also volunteered at several area shelters ....

Born in Chattanooga on Sept. 20, 1944, to Jimmie and Geneva Walls, Emma lived a life of faith, love and graciousness.
Emma graduated with honors in 1962 from Howard High School and was awarded an academic scholarship to Tuskegee University where she earned her honors Bachelor of Science in Biology and was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She furthered her education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, earning a Master of Science with honors in Counseling. Ms. Price dedicated forty years to the Chattanooga Public School System and Hamilton County Schools, teaching middle school science for seventeen years and serving as a middle and high school ....
Feb 1, 2021 YOUNGSTOWN Mrs. Gloria Adams, 76, departed this life on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 10, 1944, in Midway, Alabama, the daughter of Elijah and Elnora Williams DuBois. She graduated from Center Ridge High School in Alabama, after which, she relocated to Youngstown where she met her husband of 54 years, Norman Adams Sr. From this union, together they had four children, Norman Jr., Shawn, Shawna and Sonja. She had been employed at North Side Hospital, after which she was employed at Delphi Packard for 30 years before retiring. Gloria was a faithful servant and member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church. She was president of the Mission, a Sunday School Teacher, was also member of the Usher Board, Mass and Number 2 Choir. She assisted in the kitchen whenever needed and also assisted with Communion.
