Helal “Spicy” Uddin is fighting Papua New Guinea’s immigration department for the right to return to Manus Island, so he can be with his wife and young son. He has been detained in Bomana prison, near the capital Port Moresby, while his case works its way through Papua New Guinea’s legal system. Daily Times July 2, 2021 The Balochistan government has set up a two-member judicial commission to investigate the death of former senator and provincial president of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Usman Khan Kakar, a private TV channel reported on Thursday. The two-member commission will be headed by Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan while Justice Zaheeruddin Kakar will be a member of the commission. Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) leader and former senator Usman Khan Kakar had passed away in Karachi on June 21. He was critically injured after he fell in his house, leading to severe head injury. He was later shifted to a hospital in Karachi via an air ambulance after head surgery in Quetta. ....

Eid prayers were held in open spaces across the country with the implementation of Covid-19 SOPs to avoid the spread of the pandemic.
