Australia’s Ambassador to Qatar H E Jonathan Muir gifted yesterday a collection of iconic Australian children’s and young adults’ books to the Qatar National Library. The collection includes works by some of Australia’s best-known children’s authors including Mem Fox and Aaron Blabey.
The books include stories from Australia’s European, Asian, and indigenous traditions, highlighting the rich tapestry of its multicultural society. Ambassador Jonathan Muir said: “QNL is one of the world’s great national libraries. The Ambassador of Australian to Qatar, H E Jonathan Muir, facilitated the newly elected Executive Committee and Team members of Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter at a function held at Australian embassy premises in Doha on January 26, 2021, the Australia Day.
The Ambassador in his address congratulated the newly elected members and committed to provide his full support to the committee in its mission. The Ambassador highlighted the efforts and contribution of Australian Engineers in some of Qatar’s iconic development projects.
