PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton High School announced the Senior Spotlight for February is Elliot Auxter.
Auxter is a busy student and accomplished young man achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. His Eagle Scout project was refurbishing the City Hall lobby.
He is involved in many student groups and athletics at Port Clinton High School. He was a four-year member and captain of the boys cross country team, four-year member and captain of the boys tennis team and captain of the boys basketball team.
He has received the Kiwanis Scholar Athlete Award all four years of high school and named to the Sandusky Bay Conference All Academic Team. ....

OHS Senior Is Among 40 Finalists in Regeneron Science Competition

Ossining High School senior Michael Pavelchek is one of 40 finalists in the prestigious Regeneron Science Talent Search for his research on allergic asthma.
Earlier this month, Michael and six other OHS seniors in the Science Research Program were selected as semifinalists for the 80th annual contest. Regeneron and the Society for Science chose 40 students from the top 300 scholars to advance to the finals, which will take place virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, from March 10-17. They will compete for more than $1.8 million in awards; each finalist will receive at least $25,000. ....
