Start-of-the-art Drinking Water Facility For Waimarama

A new drinking water
treatment and storage facility in Waimarama was blessed on
Wednesday, before water flowed through it and on into the
pipe network to residents’ homes.
It was the third
of eight new small community drinking water facilities to be
completed, after plants in Te Pohue and Haumoana/Te Awanga
were opened earlier this year.

View Corner, Haumoana, from erosion can now get underway
with the resource consents for the work now
approved.
Cape View Corner at the intersection of
East, Beach and Clifton Roads, is a vital connection for the
local residents of East Haumoana, Te Awanga and Clifton, as
well as the many visitors and tourists to the area.

Frimley water storage and treatment facility. Behind them
the dome of the reservoir is being
constructed.
The construction of
Hastings District Council’s water storage and treatment
facility in Frimley is about 60 per cent
complete.
Councillors visited the site on Friday to
see progress on the eight million litre reservoir that is a
key part of the facility.
Hastings mayor Sandra
Hazlehurst said the progress was exciting.
