Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The World Bank Country Manager
Andrei Mikhnev today handed over personal protective equipment (PPE) worth
about USD 1 million to the Ministry of Health.
The ‘Mongolia COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System
Preparedness’ project, with a total financing of USD 26.9 million, is being
realized since April, 2020. The project helps coronavirus infection
prevention, community participation, human resource development, and provide medical and
laboratory equipment, reagents, and personal protective equipment.
The PPE, purchased under the World Bank’s Pandemic
Emergency Response Facility Grant, will be used by the public officers at
high-risk screening points and health care providers in selected areas. ....
