River Station adds to New Bern's waterfront and keeps historic feel

After developing lots on his River Station property around twenty years ago, Hubert (Hubie) Tolson owner of UHF Development Group, LLC decided now was the perfect time to start construction on his 17-lot property.
“Supply is down, demand is up. Covid-19 has caused a surge in the demand for the type of lifestyle that New Bern offers. It’s a small town, know your neighbors, water-oriented lifestyle,” Tolson said.
Four out of the ten allocated homesites at the historic district’s Neuse Riverfront development are under construction along with 20 of the 40 boat slips in the neighborhood’s marina.
Lot 14, which boasts a double-stack wrap-around porch, will be done by the end of July. Window shortages have delayed the other homes completion dates. The first phase of the marina is projected to be finished in August. ....
