DECATUR â For nearly two hours, the scene along Oakland Avenue was somber, but filled with conversation among those who gathered to pay their respects for fallen police officer Chris Oberheim upon his final return home. Adam DeJaynes was among those Oakland Avenue in Decatur on Thursday afternoon to pay their respects to fallen Champaign Police Officer Christopher Oberheim. Oberheim, a Decatur native, was fatally shot Wednesday after responding to a report of a domestic situation. ....
