SEB Seizes Liquor Bottles at Kurnool Border

A large number of Non-Duty Paid Liquor (NDPL) bottles were seized by Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) police during vehicle checks conducted at Panchalingala border check of Kurnool district on Sunday.
A total of 58 liquor bottles of various brands were seized as they were being transported illegally, said Circle Inspector N Lakshmi Durgaiah. With regard to illegal transportation, 8 persons have been arrested, 6 vehicles were seized and handed over to Kurnool Taluka Urban Police Station (UPS).
They appealed to the people not to carry liquor into Andhra Pradesh from Telangana and threatened jail term. They asked people to inform them about the illegal transportation of restricted products. They assured to keep the details of the informer under wraps. ....

Sleuths of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) conducted raids and seized 1,502 bottles of Non-Duty Paid Liquor (NDPL) of Telangana State, and seized the liquor stocks being transported in a car here on Monday.
The Tiruvur police intercepted the car at Mallela village in Krishna district and seized the liquor bottles being shifted from Khammam district. The stocks were reportedly being smuggled to Nuzvid in Krishna district, SEB Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vakul Jindal said.
The accused were identified as K. Narasimha Rao, G. Praveen Kumar, M. Vijay Kumar and G. Purnachandra Rao, said Superintendent of Police (SP) M. Ravindranath Babu. ....

Officials of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) and the police seized 1,000 liquor bottles being transported illegally in a car from Telangana, and arrested four persons, at the Anasagaram checkpost on Friday.
The accused had reportedly concealed the liquor stocks inside the vehicle doors and the seats. The Non-Duty Paid Liquor (NDPL) was seized during regular vehicle checking at the Anasagaram checkpost on the A.P.-Telangana border, officials said.
SEB ASP Vakul Jindal said that the liquor bottles along with the vehicle was seized. The liquor was being transported from Suryapet district to Nandigama. An investigation is on, the ASP said. ....

VIJAYAWADA: The Krishna district police along with SEB officials seized 1,816 non-duty paid liquor (NDPL) bottles worth Rs 2.14 lakh and arrested one person near Anumanchipalli in Jaggayyapeta mandal on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, Special Task Force SI Murali Krishna along with his team conducted surprise checks and intercepted a lorry and found the liquor bottles hidden under cement bags. The lorry was proceeding to Vuyyuru from Kodad in Suryapet district of Telangana. The accused has purchased the liquor bottles in Kodad and illegally transporting them.“We have taken one person into custody and seized the lorry for illegally transporting the liquor,” the SI said. ....
