Upon arriving in Paris, a teenage girl (Pamela Franklin) is promptly kidnapped by a group of disparate characters looking to collect a ransom from the girl’s wealthy father. Holed up in a beachside cottage, the plan goes along smoothly until some of the group’s character flaws start to bubble up to the surface. Leer (Richard Boone) is a loose cannon who has eyes for the girl, Vi (Rita Moreno) is a stewardess whose drug use starts to interfere with the operation, Wally (Jess Hicks) heads up the plan but doesn’t appear to have the courage or fortitude to hold things together when they start falling apart, and Bud the chauffeur (Marlon Brando) has to be both the girl’s protector and the glue to hold everything together. When the sun sets after the following day, either the kidnapping plot will make the group rich or send everyone six feet under…

Many fans, film critics, scholars and industry organizations consider 1972 s The Godfather to be one of the greatest films ever made, a consensus that was solidified with 11 Oscar nominations and wins for Best Picture, Best Actor for Marlon Brando, and Best Adapted Screenplay for Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo. Even more amazing, the film s 1974 sequel, The Godfather: Part II, also nabbed 11 nominations (with six wins including Best Picture and Best Director for Coppola), while the final film in the trilogy in 1990 earned an additional seven Oscar nods.

A treasure trove of photos and letters from Hollywood stars such as Marlon Brando, Clint Eastwood, Anthony Hopkins and Jeremy Irons has gone up for sale.
The impressive collection of candid photos and letters were found in the office of the late film producer Elliott Kastner.
The behind-the-scenes snaps include amazing snap of Marlon Brando laying down on grass playing chess with Mr Kastner s son Dillon.
