Ministry of Education’s Department of Special Education Director Khaled Al Saeedi revealed that a recent opinion poll conducted by the administration showed parents’ satisfaction and admiration for the application of virtual lessons for their children with learning difficulties and slow learning. The virtual lessons were launched at the beginning of the current school year as part of great efforts to sustain the education of special education categories. They praised the teachers’ performance and interaction level, scientific material presented, timing of the lessons, awareness of the safe use of technology, and the rules for distance learning. ....

Muscat: Oman’s Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al Saeedi said that a batch of the Pfizer vaccine will be available for use in Oman by the end of this month and indicated that the price is USD 30 per dose, and that each person needs two doses. The Minister also brought attention to the side effects of the Pfizer vaccine which are typically pain where the vaccine is administered, headache and fever. He said that the vaccine will be freely administered for those in the priority and vulnerable groups, namely the elderly over the age of 65, those with diabetes, those with kidney failure, those undergoing dialysis, those with chronic lung diseases, health workers in intensive care, and workers in the COVID-19 wards. ....
