Noida: Gymming and sports activities can be now resumed in residential blocks and apartment complexes of Noida and Greater Noida. While multiplexes and sports stadia as well as private gymnasiums were allowed to commence operations from Monday by the Uttar Pradesh government, residents of apartment complexes had been seeking clarity from the district authorities about their status. District magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, Suhas LY said that clubhouses and common areas can remain open within apartments and residential blocks for five days a week. “Gymming and sports activities situated within the clubhouse can be resumed while adhering to the Covid-19 protocols. However, swimming pools will remain shut and other recreational activities will not be allowed for now. On Saturdays and Sundays, no operations should be allowed at the clubhouse due to the weekend curfew,” he said. ....

NOIDA: The Noida Authority has decided to engage RWAs to provide oxygen for patients in home isolation. This comes after several requests from residents to the Gautam Budh Nagar district administration to devise some mechanism to provide relief to patients in dire need of oxygen. GB Nagar administration had asked the three development authorities Noida Authority, GNIDA and YEIDA to step in and help the residents. Now, after holding several meetings with entrepreneurs and owners of oxygen manufacturing units over the weekend, the authority has also planned to launch a helpline for residents after arranging for supplies. District magistrate Suhas LY said, “We wrote to the three authorities on Saturday to help the residents. Within 48 hours to 72 hours, some concrete measures will be taken to address the problem. We do not want to start something unless we get assurance and commitment from all the stakeholders.” ....
