Alexis Velasquez, a former member of the Latin Kings, pleaded guilty to racketeering charges on Wednesday in a Boston federal court.
Court records and federal authorities said Velasquez tried to kill a rival gang member using poisoned narcotics in 2019 and attacked a rival gang member in prison in 2010.
U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling’s office stated the 32-year-old Velasquez, also known as, ‘King Booboo,’ is a former member of the Boston-based Morton Street Bricks (MSB) Chapter of the Massachusetts Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation.
