Students receive CPR training

Thanks to the partnership between Caseville Public Schools and Scheurer Health, local seventh graders learned lifesaving skills. The Caseville Public Schools seventh grade class received in-school training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, otherwise known as CPR. AHA instructors Jaylee Chandonnet and Alicia Swartzendruber spent an hour and a half with the students teaching them the correct steps to perform adult, child and infant CPR. Students were given their own mannequin to practice scene safety, checking for responsiveness, calling 911, using an AED, checking for breathing, correct debt/rate and mouth to mouth. Once the students learned the basics, they were given real life scenarios and had to act as if this was a real person. (Submitted Photo) ....
