After the second round of the 2021 LPGA Professionals National Championship presented by Voice Caddie,
Alisa Rodriguez (Austin, Texas) leads the way at -4. Four players sit tied for second at -2: first-round leader

Stephanie Connelly Eiswerth (Fleming Island, Fla.), and
Sandra Changkija (Kissimmee, Fla.). A total of 33 players made the cut at 17-over par.
Rodriguez, a PGA Professional who works as the lead instructor at Balcones Country Club, came into day two in a tie for third. She recorded two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine but fired a 3-under 32 on the back to take the lead. “I was hitting the ball really well,” said Rodriguez. “I’ve been hitting my irons really good the past couple of weeks. KNIGHT HOLDS 18-HOLE LEAD IN CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION
Allie Knight (Knoxville, Tenn.) carded an early-round 68 (-3) to lead the Championship division after the first day of the LPGA Professionals National Championship presented by Voice Caddie. A PGA Teaching Professional at Fairways and Greens Golf Center in Knoxville, Knight used her workplace’s name as her competitive mindset.
“I had four birdies and one bogey, so I played pretty well,” said Knight. “I hit a lot of good shots and I think I only chipped maybe two times. I also hit a lot of greens – just hit it on the green, lagged it up there and if it went in it went in. I played kind of steady fairway-green, didn’t really get in a lot of trouble or anything and just kept it straight and hit it well.” ....

Single Mom Serena Sumrell says she was hard hit financially by the pandemic. She says the Child Tax Credit can help ease her burden.

In Chicago, with two kids to raise, single mom Serena Sumrell says it was financially tough during the pandemic. The bills were just tumbling on us, she says.
It meant making cellphone payments.rent.keeping the lights and gas on.
I shed tears. I, you know, made phone calls. I tried to do whatever I could, but people had shut down. A lot of employment opportunities had shut down, says Sumrell.
This week Americans will be getting an advance on the Child Tax Credit. Eligible families-–single parents who make less than $75,000 a year or joint filers who make less than $150,000 will receive monthly payments of $300 for each child under age 6 and up to $250 for each child 6 to 17 years old. ....
