LAHORE: Disgruntled PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was sworn in as a member of the Punjab Assembly here on Wednesday, two years and 10 months after winning the PP-10 seat from Rawalpindi in the 2018 general elections. Mr Khan entered the House through the lobby reserved for the treasury members, took a seat reserved for ministers, took the oath administered by Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari and left quietly through the lobby reserved for the opposition without delivering a statement that each member usually makes after taking the oath, despite the chair offering him the floor. There was no clapping or thumping of the desks to welcome Nisar’s oath-taking, while three treasury lawmakers two of them ministers and PPP’s Ali Haider Gilani greeted and shook hands with him.
