Punch Newspapers Sections Published 20 May 2021 Four suspected cultists and traffic robbers have been arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly dispossessing unsuspecting members of the public of their valuables in various parts of the state. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement on Wednesday that the command was committed to tackling cultism and other forms of criminality in the state. He stated that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, gave the assurance while addressing area commanders, heads of departments and tactical commanders at the POWA Hall, Oduduwa, Ikeja. Oforuike who hails from Imo State, was arrested on 17th May with a locally-made pistol, one live cartridge, a car key, an infinix hot 8 light phone, a neck chain, and an iron rod. Similarly, policemen attached to Ojo Division, Lagos State Police Command, on Monday 17th May, 2021, at about 6am, arrested a serial burglar Marcus Ikechukwu, of Karabosowa, Ojo, Alaba, Lagos. It was learned that 34-year-old Ikechukwu has been terrorizing and breaking into people’s houses at Ikotun, Igando, Surulere and other places within the State. ....
Daily Post Nigeria Published Police operatives attached to the Ojo Division have arrested a suspected serial house breaker, Marcus Ikechukwu, a 34-year-old resident of Karabosowa in Ojo, Lagos. The suspect has been terrorising and breaking into people’s houses at Ikotun, Igando, Surulere and other places. A police team on patrol at Alaba International Market intercepted one green T4 bus carrying stolen items. A statement by Lagos Command spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said one large cutter for breaking into houses and three generators were found. The operatives of the division also arrested two suspected traffic robbers/house breakers at TIV Yam Market, off Lagos Badagry expressway, Alaba Rago in Ojo. ....
