BAT Unit Acquires 19.9% Equity Investment In Organigram
LONDON (dpa-AFX) - BAT Group has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Organigram Inc., a subsidiary of Organigram Holdings. Organigram Inc. is a licensed producer of cannabis and cannabis-derived products in Canada.?A BAT subsidiary will acquire a 19.9% equity stake in Organigram Holdings to become the largest shareholder, with the ability to appoint two directors to Organigram Holdings board. The investment, valued at approximately 126 million pounds, was priced at C$3.79 per share.
To operationalise the collaboration agreement, a Centre of Excellence will be established to focus on developing the next generation of cannabis products with an initial focus on cannabidiol. BAT and Organigram will contribute scientists, researchers, and product developers to the Centre of Excellence. Spring has sprung: Renault unit Dacia's first EV


Renault Romania unit Dacia has launched the Spring, the brand s first electric car.
Dacia acknowledged it had benefited from the unique know-how and experience acquired by the Renault Group and the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, pioneers of electric mobility for over 10 years .
It claims the Spring is the most affordable electric car in Europe, making electric mobility more accessible.
The four seat car has a range of 230km (143 miles) (WLTP) and 305km (190 miles) in the city (WLTP city).
The automaker described Spring as a 100% electric urban car with an SUV look, which meets most customer needs at an unbeatable price .
Dacia is democratising electric mobility, the automaker added. ....

Nepra allows Re0.8954/ unit additional charge in March bills

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Tuesday allowed the power distribution companies, except K-Electric, to charge Rs0.8954/unit extra from consumers on account of monthly fuel charges adjustment (FCA) for January 2021.
The power distribution companies (Discos) would collect the amount from consumers in their March 2021 bills. The hike was allowed as consumers were charged less in January against the cost of power generation. After this increase, DISCOs will collect an additional Rs6.9 billion from consumers. This increase will be not applicable to K-Electric being a privatized company.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), on behalf of DISCOs, had requested permission to charge Rs0.9270/unit, having the impact of Rs7.1 billion. The regulator held its public hearing on 25 February on determining the final permission. On Tuesday, Nepra notified its final decision permitting DISCOs to charge Rs0.8954/kwh ....
