Introduced in 1969 as a trim package, the ‘Cuda makes grown men go weak in the knees. But who can blame them? After all, it's a very exciting car if optioned with the race-bred 426 HEMI and A833 transmission. ....
HOW TO SPEC IT? As is it takes a lot of options to arrive at this point, but most are worth it Some said it was heresy; others said thank you very much! This was the polarizing effect the Dodge Challenger had when it became the “world’s first and only all-wheel-drive” Pony car for 2018 model year. It seemed like such a no-brainer. Audi’s RS brand, BMW’s M division, and Mercedes-Benz’s AMG go-faster arm learned the advantages of adding all-wheel-drive to their respective road-ready racers in a hurry. The key is the setup works to better the handling be it road or track, the balance is better. All-wheel-drive helps to reduce understeer, it tames oversteer and it’s better at hauling out of a corner when the gas is matted at the apex. And these advantages are in the dry! ....

It’s usual routine was to randomly appear, race and win, then disappear again for an indefinite period of time. ....

The key to the name is on the hood – the legendary “cold-air grabbing” Shaker not only looks good with its Satin Black hood scoop, snorkeling up from the engine compartment, it also directs cooler air back into the 5.7 litre HEMI V8 engine. And like the original 1970 Challenger R/T with the Shaker hood, the new 2014 model continues the Dodge tradition of an engine-mounted hood scoop that “shakes” with the powertrain’s movement. There’s a beast in there, and you’ll want to see it move! Also standard is a Mopar cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimised air box for improved airflow and performance. ....
