Bubbies kosher market opens with Passover popup in Providence

PROVIDENCE Wait no more. March 3 is the day Bubbie s opens for a Passover pop-up in a 30-foot hallway in what will be their permanent home at 727 Hope St.  Owners and chefs Jeff Ingber and Freda Ronkin are no strangers to the world of kosher cooking, catering and products. They are both elated to begin the next chapter in their careers with Bubbie s Market & Deli full of freshly prepared foods and a deli counter.  But for now the low-tech pop-up, as Ingber describes it, will offer the groceries for Passover including matzo, condiments, gefilte fish and macarons. In all, they will be carrying over 400 Passover items under the kosher supervision of RI Kosher. Access to the market is through the back of the store.
