He said that the drug was initially used in the treatment of Ebola and can also help reduce the duration of hospital stay of a COVID patient. He warned that the antiviral has its own side effects and should never be administered through self-diagnosis and on mild category COVID patients. Share Jammu: To take first hand appraisal of the infrastructure and patient care management in Covid care Hospitals, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Chest Disease & TB Hospital Jammu, and Government Medical College Jammu. During his visits, the Lt Governor enquired about number of patients being treated in the hospitals, patients discharged after recovery, availability of oxygen support beds. The Lt Governor, while inspecting the functionality of Oxygen Generation Plants in the Hospitals, directed for effective rationalization of available resources to cater to the requirements of the patients. The Lt Governor directed the hospitals to ensure that best possible care is given to the patients through regular rounds of HoDs and senior doctors in the wards. He also emphasized on strict compliance of the hospital referral policy and triage in the hospitals. ....
Quietly, Sehraie Lowered In His Tekipora Grave At 4 AM Hilal Shah KUPWARA: Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai was laid to rest at the family’s ancestral Tekipora graveyard in Lolab, early Thursday morning. His posthumous ride from Jammu to Tekipora, the family said cost them Rs 22,000 that a private ambulance charged. Authorities had put elaborate restrictions on the entry of people from outside and even preventing residents from joining the funeral. His coffin reached the village at around 4 am. “Emotional scenes were witnessed as Sehrai’s son could be seen bidding adieu to his father after kissing his face repeatedly while other family members including some female ones were seen wailing and seeking forgiveness from the deceased before the 77-year-old leader was laid to rest,” a local news gatherer reported. ....
Top Story May 7, 2021 ISLAMABAD: People raised high-pitched pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans during the funeral of senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to the Kashmir Media Service, a video showed that during the funeral of Sehrai in his ancestral village Tekipora in Lolab area of Kupwara under tight military siege, people shouted slogans in favour of the senior Kashmiri leader as well as for freedom from Indian occupation, Islam and Pakistan. The participants raised slogans: “Allah-o-Akbar (God is Great)”, “We want freedom”, “We are Pakistanis”, “Pakistan is ours”, and “Listen oppressors and traitors – freedom is our right and we will get this right at all costs”. ....
