John Menzies has spent a âone-offâ £70.2m restructuring the business after decreased flight activity caused by the pandemic led to a 37% reduction in revenue.
The Edinburgh-headquartered aviation logistics business blamed the travel restrictions for the loss of revenue, as flight activity led to a 49% year-on-year reduction in volumes for ground handling and refuelling.

The Pakistan Customs has introduced a system of advance filing of manifest and clearance of goods before the landing of aircraft.
Irfan Ali, a spokesman for the customs, said on Wednesday that the FBR under the performance agreements signed with the Prime Minister’s Office was consistently reforming procedures and workflow in compliance with international commitments on trade facilitation.
Under the reforms initiatives undertaken by the FBR chairman, the Pakistan Customs is making great strides in improving the ease of doing business in the country. KARACHI: A tense situation prevailed at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi after the Civil Aviation Authority spotted a suspicious bag which was beeping on a motorbike in the parking area Tuesday.
Officials said that during a routine inspection at about 3:15pm, CAA vigilance and cargo terminal staff heard a beep from blinking lights coming from a cotton pouch hanging from a motorbike parked at the Domestic Cargo gate.
