LOS ANGELES, CA .- Kristin Bedfords new photo book Cruise Night pulls back the curtain on LAs Mexican American lowrider car culture, aiming to tackle the misconceptions and celebrate the uniqueness of this marginalized community. Since its beginnings in the 1940s, the prolific lowrider tradition has provided a platform for Mexican Americans to have a voice and be seen. They are passionate conservationists who have spent more than 40 years documenting the lives of Africa’s charismatic big cats in the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania where Angela grew up. They are the Authors and Photographers of 35 Books including award winning children’s titles. They are the only couple to have won the prestigious Overall Award in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition as individuals: Jonathan in 1987 and Angela in 2002.
