Avalanche deaths are on the rise in the United States. This winter has been one of the deadliest on record and with weeks remaining in the season, one New Hampshire family shared their loss in hopes of saving a life.
It has been five years since tragedy struck a Franconia family. Elite skier Ronnie Berlack and his U.S. Ski teammate Bryce Astle were killed in an avalanche while skiing off a groomed trail in Austria.Sign up for our Newsletters
