LAHORE: Former adviser to the Obama administration, Dr Barnett R Rubin, sees a ‘reborn’ role for Pakistan in US President Biden’s review of the US-Afghan deal.
“Given Biden’s call to review, a time has come when Pakistan is supposed to play its anchoring role in the US-Afghan Taliban peace deal with the support of other regional powers by re-collaborating the implementation of agreement on rescheduling of US troops withdrawal, return of prisoners of war, ceasefire, UN sanctions on Taliban and future political roadmap that leads to an interim government in Afghanistan,” said the head of Centre on International Cooperation, New York University. ....

LAHORE:The Department of Pakistan Studies & Islamic Studies, University of Home Economics (UHE), organised a walk to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to condemn the brutalities of Indian forces in the Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing the participants, the UHE Vice-Chancellor Dr Kanwal Ameen emphasised that the people of Pakistan were committed to seeking a just and peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the IHK people. A large number of faculty and staff members, heads of all the departments and students participated in this walk. On this occasion, prayers were also offered for the independence of the held Kashmir and the success of the Kashmiri people in their freedom struggle. ....

LAHORE: Punjab University Pakistan Study Centre and Pakistan Study Centre Sichuan, China have jointly organized an online seminar on China-Pakistan Friendship: Opportunities and Prospects beyond 70 Years .
PU Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Amra Raza, Dr Guangmin Xiu, Deputy Director of the Pakistan Studies Center, Office of Teaching and Research Director Hong Shu, Dr Amjad Abbas Magsi, faculty members and 10 students from the School of International Relations and the School of History and Culture were invited to have online exchanges with 8 teachers and students from the Pakistan Study Center of Punjab University. Dr Magsi moderated the proceedings of the seminar. ....
