Macquarie Bank, HSBC and other mid-tier banking providers could be forced to reconfigure their newly-minted single network debit cards after the Reserve Bank publishes the findings of its payments review in the middle of the year.
Leading payments experts believe the RBA’s Payments System Board is set to crack down on the practice of issuing single network cards because it threatens to undermine competition in the transaction processing market.

IITA embraced the One-CGIAR initiative in the past year because a unified CGIAR will be a more effective and impactful organization. Since then, the Institute has participated in the unfolding plans and is strategically positioned to contribute to the One-CGIAR agenda in sub-Saharan Africa. Significant developments have been taking place at IITA and CGIAR, with bigger plans for 2021.
Following discussions with the Directors General, the CGIAR Executive Management Team (EMT) formed Design Working Groups in December 2020 to provide input and advice on designing the new CGIAR operational model. The groups consist of a cross–section of Directors General and staff, covering the three functional areas of the new operational structure: Research and Delivery, Institutional Strategy and Systems, and Global Engagement and Innovatio ....

Administrators to begin data-driven review of academic programs

West Virginia University administrators announced at Fridayâs Board of Governors meeting that they will conduct a data-driven review of academic programs for the long-term financial stability of the school.
President E. Gordon Gee said the review was driven by years-long trends in the academic marketplace and fundamental changes to the Universityâs business model from state-funded to tuition-funded. Over the coming months, University administrators will gather data on the financial performance of academic programs and determine whether they should continue.
âThe fog of fear is our greatest enemy,â Gee said. âIf we want to be a competent, progressive institution, the time to move is now.â ....
