Kuwait: 547 people violated COVID-19 curfew since March


Cairo: A total of 547 people have been caught violating a partial curfew imposed on March 8 to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in Kuwait, a senior security official said.
Last week, the Kuwaiti government extended the curfew until April 22, which coincides with the holy month of Ramadan.
The curfew was due to end on April 8 but the government said it will be extended to April 22, while curtailing the curfew hours. During the extension period, the curfew will continue daily from 7pm until 5am.
Brig. Tawhid Al Kandari, the chief of the Interior Ministry’s Public Relations and Security Media Directorate, said that violators of the curfew over the past month included 371 Kuwaitis, accounting for 67.8 per cent of the total offenders while the remaining 176 were expatriates. ....

Task Force intercepts fake drugs worth N6.4m in Kano

The Kano State Ministry of Health Task Force Committee on Counterfeit, Fake, Substandard Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods has confiscated expired drugs worth N6.4million at Enugu Road, Sabon Gari, Kano.
The committee also intercepted 24 cartons of expired drugs and two cartons of expired biscuits valued at over N1million at Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi market.
