LAHORE : The 3-day faculty development workshop on ‘Knowing Cancer in Small Animal to Improve Their Quality of Life’ concluded at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) here on Sunday.
Federal Joint Secretary Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination Usman Sarosh and UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad co-chaired the concluding session of the workshop and distributed certificates among participants and resource persons. The objectives of the training were to impart better understanding of the latest trends in animal cancers to the training participants, to update them on the latest molecular and histopathological tools for cancer pathogenesis and also to promote the awareness and importance of animal cancers in our society. ....

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination to ensure within six months, passage of bill from parliament regarding the management and administration of Gun and Country Club, Islamabad.
A two-member bench of the apex court comprising Justice Umer Ata Bandial and Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan heard a suo moto case regarding allotment of land worth billions by CDA to the Gun and Country Club, Islamabad, at a throwaway price. The court, while taking up an application filed on behalf of Management Committee of Gun & Country Club, directed the secretary Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) to ensure passage of bill from the parliament in the matter within six months. ....

ISLAMABAD: As ‘water politics’ has brought Sindh and Punjab face to face, a Senate committee has unanimously decided to take up in its next meeting the row between the two provinces.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination held here on Wednesday and presided over by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani. It decided to invite representatives of Punjab and Sindh, the chairman of the Indus River System Authority (Irsa) and other stakeholders, including the secretaries of Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Energy (Power Division), for a discussion on the issues. ....

Senate panel to take up provincial water sharing issue

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination unanimously decided to take the issue of water sharing of the provinces and invited representatives from Punjab and Sindh in Indus River System Authority (IRSA) alongside Chairman IRSA, Secretary Ministry of Water Resources and Secretary Ministry of Energy (Power Division) to discuss the issue.
The meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination was held on Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Senator Mian Raza Rabbani. It analyzed various aspects of role and functions of the Ministry.
On the role of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination pertaining to the water issues between the provinces, the IPCC Ministry said the issue was not taken up by the CCI.
