The indicators of 2020 demonstrate the high dynamics of the development of the electric power industry in Turkmenistan, the expert noted. Turkmenistan for nine months of this year increased total value of electricity export by a factor of 2.4 in comparison with the same period for 2019. Physical volume of deliveries in accordance with the data from Federal Public Statistics Service increased in 2.1 times. It is informed by information agency “Media – Turkmen”.
It should be noted that the main buyers of Turkmen electro energy at present time are Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan. In the nearest future, it is planned to increase delivery to Afghanistan.
