The nominees were chosen by a unanimous vote of 19 jurors from over 1,300 entries from television, podcasts/radio and the web in entertainment, news, documentary, arts, children s/youth, public service and multimedia programming. THE PEABODY AWARDS are based at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. ....

NEW YORK, NY
.- Erika Dilday has been named the executive director of American Documentary Inc. and executive producer of its award-winning documentary series POV on PBS and America ReFramed on WORLD Channel, the board of directors announced today.
Dilday, who is the organizations first Black executive director, begins the job in May and joins AmDoc from Futuro Media Group where she has been the CEO since 2017. Prior to Futuro Media Group, Dilday was the executive director of the Maysles Documentary Center where she oversaw community cinema, filmmaking programs and produced Albert Maysles final film - the award-winning documentary In Transit. ....

Items owned by musician Trini Lopez headed to auction in May

The home was designed by architect William Krisel and built by Alexander Construction in 1961.
It includes the original pool and spa, two en suite bedrooms with exterior access, and the casita that Lopez used as a study and music room.
Some of the other noted features are exposed beam ceilings, mirrored walls, patterned masonry and a single-story floor plan that blends indoor and outdoor space.
Lopez purchased the home in 1968 and resided there until his death in August at age 83 due to complications related to COVID-19. Some of his neighbors over the years were Dean Martin, Kirk Douglas and Debbie Reynolds. The estate is also close to the Elvis and Priscilla Presley Honeymoon Hideaway. ....

Nonprofit organization American Documentary, which supports the acclaimed PBS series POV, has hired Erika Dilday as its first Black executive director.
Most recently CEO of the Futuro Media Group, Dilday also becomes executive producer of AmDoc s POV doc series on PBS and America ReFramed on the WORLD Channel. It was clear to the Board that Erika s experience and commitment to independent voices were the perfect fit for AmDoc at this time.
