Aamir Burnett, age 33, of New Haven, was arrested around 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, after he attempted to flee the scene of a crash on I-95 n the area of I-95 and Interstate 91 split, said the Connecticut State Police. At the time he was apprehended, police said Burnett was in possession of two handguns and a “large amount” of marijuana. After the crash, a witness followed Burnett from the scene and told police he was in the area of Franklin and Chapel streets, in New Haven, where he tried to outrun the police, state police said. ....
