Amit Shah in Bengal
As the battle heat intensifies in West Bengal ahead of the upcoming polls and clashes between BJP and TMC has reached its height, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata for a visit to the state. The Assembly polls are slated to be held later this year. During his Kolkata tour, he will visit Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Kapil Muni Ashram. Later, he will flag-off BJP’s Poribortan Yatra and hold a roadshow from Kali Mandir to SBI, Kakdwip branch, and South 24 Parganas.
He is also scheduled to visit Aurobindo Bhawan in the evening. Shah had earlier arrived in the state on February 11. The tenure of the Trinamool Congress government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal will come to an end on May 30, 2020. Amit Shah arrived in Bengal to flag off the 5th phase of the Parivarthan Yatra. The Yatra would cover all the 294 constituencies in West Bengal. It was flagged off by BJP President JP Nadda on Feb 6 from Nawadeep in Nadia district.

Amit Shah kicks-off Bengal visit with special aarti at Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Kolkata
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah on Thursday kicked-off his two-day tour of West Bengal by visiting the Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Kolkata. He performed a special aarti here and met religious leaders. The Bharat Sevashram Sangha was founded in 1917 by Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. The Sangha has hundreds of ashrams in India and other countries. It is known for community work, helping poor and providing healthcare to those in need.Â
Speaking to reporters later, Shah said that he has full faith that the BJP will form the goverment in West Bengal after the upcoming assembly polls and when it does, the Gangasagar Mela will be made part of the international tourist circuit. The Namami Gange programme for cleaning River Ganga will also be ensured in the state, he said.

The 294-member West Bengal Assembly is likely to go to the polls in April and May this year.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit poll-bound West Bengal on Thursday to flag off the party s fifth and final phase of Poriborton Yatra .
In a press statement, BJP Rajya Sabha member and media in-charge Anil Baluni said that during his two-day stay, Shah will flag off the Poriborton Yatra from the Indira Maidan in Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas district on Thursday.

Bengal polls 2021: JP Nadda to launch BJP s Parivartan Yatra on Saturday, Amit Shah to visit on Feb 11
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda will visit West Bengal on Saturday (February 6) to kickstart the party s campaign for the upcoming assembly elections. He will launch the party s Parivartan Yatra to garner public support in the poll-bound state. According to ANI, BJP s yatras will be flagged off from the partyâs five organisational zones and pass through every Assembly constituency in the state. The West Bengal Legislative Assembly has 294 seats.
