Nominations open for two area district judge vacancies From News Reports TOPEKA Nominating Commissions serving several south-central and southwest Kansas counties are accepting applications for a pair of judicial seats that will open with the retirement of current judges. The 9th Judicial District Nominating Commission is seeking nominations to fill a district judge vacancy serving Harvey and McPherson counties that will be created when Judge Joe Dickinson retires on Sept. 18. Meanwhile, the 25th Judicial District Nominating Commission is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy created when Judge Robert Frederick retires on Jan. 22. That District is composed of Finney, Greeley, Hamilton, Kearny, Scott, and Wichita counties. ....
