It takes a lot to reach a point where you’re comfortable enough to share your lived experiences with others especially when they’re wrapped in feelings of shame and confusion.
One in three women have been subjected to an abusive relationship in their lifetime. Despite that number being so high, many of those experiences will go untold. It took this survivor some time before she was able to speak up about her experiences, and while there’s still a level of discomfort, she recognizes the power of sharing stories and how one person’s experience can help someone else through their own. Here is her story:
