COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Public Radio (SC Public Radio) Reporter Scott Morgan has received the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for the second year in a row for his story on the development of two police citizens review boards in Upstate South Carolina. Titled “A Tale of Two Citizen Review Boards Upstate,” the story from July 2020 focuses on the actions taken in two South Carolina cities following the protests against racial injustice last summer. Scott Morgan joined the SC Public Radio team in March 2019 after a stint at KETR-FM in Commerce, Texas, where he was a reporter and local host during National Public Radio’s network news program “All Things Considered.” Previously, Morgan served as a newspaper reporter and editor in New Jersey.
