At their May 4 regular meeting, the Grand County Commission approved the hire of a consultant to continue advising and training the county on noise ordinance and enforcement issues, voted to be an anchor community in a statewide renewable energy program, and discussed how to handle expansions and remodels for overnight accommodations businesses. Noise Les Blomberg of the nonprofit Noise Pollution Clearinghouse has been helping both Moab City and Grand County rework their noise ordinances in an attempt to address the traffic noise that has been the subject of many residentsâ complaints, letters, petitions and debates at the local and state levels. County Attorney Christina Sloan said that Blomberg, if hired, could continue to assist the county in helping to train law enforcement officers in noise enforcement techniques and also help facilitate a voluntary noise testing event that the county is holding on May 29. ....

I started in 6th grade and actually went to Sturgis Middle School in 7th grade and didn’t’ have the best band experience just because they didn’t place as big an emphasis on the arts there. So, I was really hesitant to do it my 8th grade year, but my mom said, “just try it one more year and if you don’t like it, then that’s OK and you can not play,” so then I joined it 8th grade year, and yeah, there’s no way I could quit band. Winners present were Share Farmers Manoj Kumar and Sumit Kamboj, Dairy Manager Leon McDonald and Dairy Trainee Tony Craig, who faced a question and answer session by Abby Scott from Dairy NZ to start the day. A convoy of utes did a tour of the farm to inspect cows in the paddocks and the feed system. ....
ROCK SPRINGS Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and all the regulations that have gone with it, the Legacy Gymnastics Team has had a good competitive season thus far. They have all been working hard at learning new skills, learning new routines and improving their abilities overall. The team this year consists of 19 girls ages 8 to 14. There are four level threes, ten level fours, two level fives, two level sixes and one level eight. Two of the girls competed at a lower level for their first one or two meets of the season, then gained their mobility score and moved up one level. ....
