WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - COVID-19 has claimed the life of a Catholic priest in Jefferson County.
Father Vicente Jazmines passed away Thursday at age 76 at Samaritan Medical Center, according to Diocese of Ogdensburg officials.
Father Vince, as he was known, had been pastoring at St. Mary’s Church in Evans Mills and St. Paul’s Church in Black River.
Another priest, Father Christopher Looby, who’s pastor at a church in Ticonderoga, remembered Father Vince extending back to their days at Wadhams Hall Seminary near Ogdensburg. ....
